...because this is my 500th post and I'm now at the same level as the more chatty of our brothers. Happy Grizzled Veterans' Day! Actually, I think Lance spotted me 100 posts a while back, so I may only be pseudo-grizzled ![]() |

Welcome to the group! Only the folks most bored on their day-jobs get to this level quickly. You took your time...probably a good thing! |

John...patience, my friend! While I'm quite proud of the twins, the pics suck. I'm going to try to redo them this weekend when I return home. I wish I could have you and Hank critique them in person...both of you were instrumental in inspiring my effort. OK...I guess this is 501! |

Doug...I've received far more here than I could ever re-pay...I've posed far more questions than answers. Many thanks to the true grizzled veterans here...you know who you are! |

Hey JJ-- Congrats! Does this mean, now, that you are able to successfully bend waterfall Bubinga? Hmmmm? |

Hey Steve, I just bent some waterfall Bubinga bindings so you can go ahead and send me those sides.....Oh and the back too. |

John, how thoughtful of you. But, bending bindings does not a side-bender make. At least in the crazy figured stuff. Nice try. |

Steve...Even though you have over 100 posts on me, I'm going to blink and give the WFB and wavy Sapele a try within a few weeks using Tippie's heat blanket and method that he recently posted. I need to get the sides thinned to about .080" first. I want to do this on a 000-12 fret. I hope I can pull it off without using the string of expletives I've been practicing. You'll be the first to know how I do...and yours might possibly be the first shoulder I cry upon! Wish me luck! |
